南京市环境保护科学研究院创建于1978年，是一家公益型环保科研机构，直属于南京市环境保护局。2006年3月经南京市编委批准完成了所改院。
    我院技术力量雄厚，现有各类专业技术人员70余名,其中高级职称17名、中级职称22名、初级职称24名。环保科研大楼总建筑面积7000平方米, 拥有华东地区较大的水处理试验中心及环保产业研发基地，固定资产2250万元，具有较强的环境科研、环境咨询服务、环境工程设计以及环保产品开发、成果推广的能力，科研设计手段、装备、技术力量已形成规模, 体现出地区性环保科技产业发展优势。成立以来，先后完成了国家、省、市重点科研项目300余项，获得省科技进步奖6项，市科技进步奖18项。我院是江苏省AAA级信誉咨询机构，并通过了ISO9001国际质量管理体系认证。
    我院持有甲级环评资格证书（证书编号：国环评证甲字第1907号），业务范围为轻工、纺织、化纤；化工、石化及医药；建筑、市政公用工程；区域开发；机械、电子；建筑材料；金属冶炼及压延加工；危险废物、医疗废物处置，是国家环保总局推荐的规划评价单位之一。近年来，主持编制了近千项建设项目环境影响报告书，在江苏省同行中享有极高的声誉。
    我院持有建设部颁发的环境工程设计乙级证书（证书编号：3036），可承担废水、废气、噪声及固废等方面的治理技术研究、试验和设计。近年来，先后完成了各类环境工程60多项。可提供污水处理工程的工艺试验和调试，环保产品开发、代理，环保科技成果推广等综合服务。
我院依靠在环保及相关行业的技术优势致力于为企业实施清洁生产审核提供技术支持和咨询服务、为企业开展循环经济提供技术咨询服务。

    我院环保科研大楼总建筑面积7000平方米，拥有华东地区较大的水处理试验室及环保研发基地，固定资产2250万元。

    Nanjing Research Institute of Environmental Protection (NJRIEP) is a non-profit institute of environmental protection, which was established in 1978, under the Nanjing Environmental Protection Bureau.
    NJRIEP has high technological level with more than 70 professional persons in which 17 have senior, 22 have intermediate and 24 have junior professional title. The total architectural area of our building is 7000m2. We have a biggish experiment center of wastewater treatment in the East China and research base of environmental industry. With capital asserts of 22.5 million, we have strong capabilities of environmental scientific research, environmental counseling, environmental project design and innovation and generalization of environmental products. We have mature design-measures, equipments and technical power, which formed environmental technical advantages in the area. After foundation, we completed more than 300 key scientific programs of nation, province and city successively and gained 6 progress prizes in science and technology of province and 18 progress prizes in science and technology of city. NJRIEP is consultation department of grade AAA credits in Jiangsu Province and has got ISO9001 qualification certificate.
    NJRIEP have qualification certificate of Environmental Impact Assessment(certificate NO: State EIA grade A certificate NO.1907) whose range of business are light industry, spinning, chemical fiber; chemical industry, petrochemical industry and medication; architecture, civil public projects; region exploitation; mechanism, electronics; materials of architecture; metal smelt and press process; hazard wastes and medical wastes disposal.     NJRIEP is one of the programming and assessment institute recommended by State Environmental Protection Bureau. In recent years, NJRIEP have made near one thousand Environmental Impact Statements of proposed projects and taken extraordinary high reputation in the field of EIA in Jiangsu Province.
     NJRIEP have the grade B certificate of environmental engineering design awarded by National　Construction Ministry(certificate No: 3036), which can take the treatment technology research, experiment and engineering design of wastewater, waste gas, noise and solid waste. In recent years, NJRIEP have done more than 30 environmental engineering projects successively. NJRIEP can provide service on process experiment and test of wastewater treatment，as well as develop the products of environmental protection and improve the technology of environmental protection.
    Depending on technical advantages in environmental protection and concerned industry, NJRIEP devotes to supply technical support and counseling for clean production and to supply technical counseling for cycle economy of enterprises.
